This is probably the funniest thing I've ever read. Sorry Raunwynn/Tullen/Evernite.
Quote: | World of Warcraft, which differ from traditional video games because the player takes part in an ongoing drama with thousands of other players worldwide. |
Quote: | The Internet games are just the latest in an evolution of online addictions that began with chat rooms, porn sites and gambling, experts say. | (provided with no sources!)
Quote: | In playing World of Warcraft, players choose a character that falls within races such as the undead, humans and trolls. They may be priests, warriors, shamans or other characters, each of which possesses certain skills and must meet challenges, such as slaying a certain type of monster, before they move up to new levels of skill. |
Quote: | Hudson Akridge, 25, of northwest suburban Hainesville enjoys role-playing as a "ninja mage," which has a magician's powers. |
I will never forget this "artical." Thx Riin kk. |

Interesting... I know here we have had some net addiction help groups for some years now, and some of the centers that deals with gambling addictions also takes in ppl with gaming addictions.
Anyways, while I'm sure there are real addicts out there, I think that in many of the cases where couples are getting into trouble it's not necesarely because one of them have an addiction, it just turns out they happen to have different interests. |
