Before blowing up Megaton I killed the shopkeep in the Craterside Supply. I used her locker to stash the spoils from looting each house in the rest of the town, preferring to wait until night, pick the locks on the doors, and creep through each one using Mister Sandman to stealth kill each sleeping resident. I then used the Ripper to dismantle the bodies and spelled out 'Megaton is mine' next to the nuke in arms and legs. I then bounced between Rivet City and Megaton, selling all the spoils, and blew the whole place up in Tenpenny Tower hours later.
