*Guild policies serve as a guideline and are subject to change or be overruled at any time by a Senior Officer or Guild Master*
A. Standard Recruiting Procedure
All players requesting to join Scalebane from in and outside the game are to fill out the application on the website and post it in the Recruiting forum. Once posted the guild officers will privately review the application & determine whether the applicant is to be accepted or declined. This may take anywhere between 1-5 days.
B. Acceptance
If a player's application is accepted an officer will contact the applicant in game & invite them to the guild. That player will enter into the guild as a trial member with the status Boot.
C. Declination
If a player's application is declined, the player may send private messages to the Head Recruiter on the forum or in game if he or she has any questions regarding the application.
D. Friends, Family, & Alts
Friends:
Characters played by friends must follow standard recruiting procedure.
Family:
Characters played by family members must follow standard recruiting procedure. The player will then be invited by an officer unless there is good reason not to. In almost all cases a family member will be accepted into the guild. Also for this clause to apply, the referring member must have at least reached the rank of Member in Scalebane.
Alts:
If you're a current member, all of your alts are welcome in the guild, just contact an officer to be added. They will update your public note to say "Alt of soandso".
E. Reapplying
Previously Rejected Applications:
If an application has been rejected, that player must wait 3 weeks before reapplying. When applying again the applicant post a new thread & a new form.
Former Members:
Former Scalebane members that have left the guild must follow standard recruiting procedure as if they were new members. Class limits also apply.
F. Initiate period
In a players first 30 days they will have the rank of Boot. If a member receives a complaint during this period from anyone, on a case by case period, they may be removed from the guild or asked to stay as a Boot longer. Boots should also use this time to focus on keying/getting attuned for any instances we're currently raiding.
If a Boot doesn't receive any complaints at the end of 30 days they will be promoted to full member status. (Further information on ranks can be found in the Member section)
