hey scalebane, this thread is for getting calisa to play street fighter with me on the xbox but there might be some other scalebaners that share my passion for sf so i am posting these delectable tidbits publicly rather than in calisa's private place.

amazing back and forth game!
the technical mastery required to play gen at this level is astounding.
each portion of the combos performed by the gen player have to be accurate within 1/30th of a second!

1st to 5 wins for 100$.
this guy is a world class balrog player and amazing to watch.
my favorite part about these games is the commentary of chris hu.
he makes me laugh a lot and has basically changed eduardo perez's name in the street fighter community from vvv scrub to "puerto rico balrog".
i believe eduardo perez is from puerto rico. |

Neat stuff! I played a bit last night, because of this thread. 
I need some advice. I'm tired of my sixaxis controller. What joysticks are y'all using?
I'm looking for a new joystick that doesn't have a square gate (Hori) and doesn't cost 150$ (Mad Catz). |

i am using the xbox 360 analog stick.
i dont use a d-pad anymore.
my precision has improved greatly because of it.
there are some pros that play on the 360 controller as well, like the abel player, rico suave:
i love these finals, really exciting play. |

I got crushed by some dude playing Ryu last night. He kept doing an ex move reset and super combo on my poor blanka. Some of the combos he was doing looked like he was playing a programmed joystick (macro)... He had the sprout icon next to his name, as well. Bastard!
Crimson Viper versus Zangief took me forever to do last night (no idea how to play her). They really beefed up Zangief in SF4. |
