Dungeon Master is one of my favorite games of all time. It's definitely my favorite game of the 1980's.

Enter "Legend of Grimrock". It's on sale on steam for 10% off (13.50$ or so). It looks like a resurrection of a very good game.

Buy it off their site and you also get a steam code.

I bought this. Was quite interested in a really traditional dungeon crawler, and that's what I got.

Fuck, there's even an option when choosing difficulty to turn off the auto minimap and shit. It comments that it's time to break out the pens and notebooks.

I remember my grandmother playing some of the older might and magic games and having entire notebooks full of hand sketched maps and notes. There is something about this that fascinates me. I think I will introduce her to this game.

The Etrian Odyssey series for DS is -very- similar, but the combat and movement isn't realtime.
I probably sunk... sinked... sank, hell that's a weird word- at least 80 hours into each of the 3 titles. Freaking games are brutal.
