I saw this...

Some peeps off the top of my head that met there and continued here: Mektu, myself, passion, tywie (kolonus), yokan (brimestone), snowpack, wicket (sorak), Grundark, Phiphe (raun called him feefee lawl), soularmor (my boi) liquid (not sure he come to this guild*), Triforce. Hope I didn't forget anyone. Some were in other guilds so its hard to keep it straight.

My first mmo and I didn't know any different. "Sandbox" game, even the crafting (before NGE) was off the cuff. Everything was generated by players accept for a few capital cities. Mektu (icehole) created an entire city that earned its own shuttle, which is equivalent to a flight path. He laid out the whole city so he told everyone where to put their house. YOu could go into each others houses and see what loot you were collecting. For example I could have put ashkandi up on the wall next to other awesome weapons I collected in the past or what not. World pvp was epic and players would create massive pvp world events where you could attempt to bring down a cites turrets and such.

Triforce (zenon bloodlust) payed multiple players to set up factories to mine resources for him and he had a huge business and was a major influence on the games economy.

To pvp you HAD to have the best buffs and armor. All of which you had to get from other players. It could take you an hour to get buffed, then find pvp and get killed in less than a minute. Then get buffed again...

You could only have 1 char/account so buffs were hard to come by. So people with multiple accounts would create buff bots that would buff you when you payed them. They were all macroed out. Imagine that priests were rare and you had to get a fort buff before pvp or you were majorly gimped. People would create a "priest" and set them in a house with macroes where you would go there and they would buff you for a certain amount of gold. Their were lines of people waiting for these buffs. It was insane.

Having one character wasn't terrible because you could be any class if you took the time to grind it out. The gear was crafted, yet you had to have the best resources to create high quality gear which was some what still random. Oh, and when it would break, it was broke for good. You also would go to exotic location and farm impossible creatures to get special weapons which also applied rare dots on your target. We would create hunting parties to do things like this.

I remember finally creating the right combonation of classes to be able to solo Krayt dragons. It still took me 30 minutes to kill one.

I hate to see it go, but it was fun while it lasted. After they ruined the game with the NGE (new game enhancements), I came to wow at launch. Actually passion and tywie made me come and mektu reluctantly joined later. Eventually we all did.

Yes, it was fun. At one point during Wow, went back ..forget why..maybe free playtime? After leaving L2, SWG was a great break. I spent my days flying around buying clothes and items for my homes and Cantina. As I was an Entertainer, I didn't fight much...just danced and played instruments..which gave players buffs...totally different..but very fun at the time. And, best of all, great friends!!

Looking forward to SWTOR Smile

It's shutting down on December 15th. It should be free to play a couple months before that (some say October 15th).

My friend, Teesquared, is the producer for the project. I haven't talked to him yet, because he's on vacation in Florida (perfect time to go on vacation, imho).

I had fun making a lot of stuff for this game. I need to go get screenshots, before it goes down. Smile
